About Mosaic

Founded in 2024, MOSAIC Support Circles (Moving On in Supportive and Inclusive Community) expands local access to group mental health support through the arts. Our programming includes Nonfiction Book Clubs, Media Mix-Ups, Religious Trauma Support, and specialized Grief Circles addressing often overlooked losses like health decline or addiction. We deepen impact through community partnerships; for example, after discussing grief related to school shootings, we collaborated with Guns to Gardens to create jewelry from surrendered firearms. Ultimately, MOSAIC seeks creative ways to nurture both individuals and the community.

OCTOBER: Podcast Discussion Circle

No time for books and book clubs but love small group discussion on interesting topics? Try our Podcast Discussion Groups. These are super fun ways to get a book club vibe but in a more accessible format. For those with time constraints or other obstacles to committing to reading novels, Podcast Circles are the perfect way to have small group discussion on what you learned. Topics are usually centered around “self-help” themes such as Self-Abandonment as a Survival Strategy, Codependency vs. Healthy Dependency, Imposter Syndrome, and the Neuroscience of Embodiment. Meeting on Mondays in October at 6:00PM via Zoom.

Art Circle

Art Circles meet in even months and are a way to get out of your head and explore via Art prompts what you may subconsciously be processing. Doing so in Community is a particularly powerful way to practice less cognitive and more embodied self-expression. Come join us Wed. Oct. 7th and Wed. Dec. 2nd at 6:30PM for Guided Art activities and small group discussions, and see why studies have identified significant reductions in Anxiety and Depression in Group Art Interventions.

Forest Bathing (Shinrin-yoku)

Sounds like just a walk in the woods? Want to try it but a little skeptical about paying someone to just go take a walk? Come see what it's all about for free. January is a time Seasonal Depression can really start hitting hard and we need to be more intentional about getting outside, even (especially) when it's cold. Join at Jan. 9th, and Jan. 23rd at 9:00AM in a space near the Hermitage / Mt Juliet area. Walks will end in small group guided discussion. Come build community and also be in nature
